The Transformation of Tucson’s Hot Springs

In 1978, Robert and Marilyn Kelm purchased over 5 acres of land where, according to legend, a Native American using a witcher rod discovered a hot, naturally flowing artesian well. This land, once part of a ranch dating back to the 1870s and located near Agua Caliente Park, has a rich history of being used for ranching and as a hot springs resort in the late 19th century.

In 2022, the Paye family bought the property and restored it, transforming it into “Tucson’s Hot Springs at The Oasis.” Jeff Paye added two natural hot springs, a stream, a bird sanctuary, hiking trails, and renovated the main house and garage. Today, the property is a lush oasis, surpassing its original vision.
